Great Britain 1882 1d lilac (I.R. Official Die II), SGO3ca.
A very fine unused, with original gum, imperforate irregular block of three formed from a vertical pair and a single example. Some light ink marks on vertical pair, nevertheless a unique piece from the 8th printing of July 1891 with overprint in blue-black and as such previously unrecorded.
The vertical pair was formerly erroneously listed in the Stanley Gibbons GB specialised catalogue as L3f - "Imperforate without watermark". There is infact a light, very misplaced watermark. It is to be listed in the next specialised catalogue as L3f "Imperforate with blue-black overprint". and is now included in the Stanley Gibbons GB Concise catalogue as SGO3ca.
Accompanied with a 2015 British Philatelic Association (BPA) Certificate of Authenticity.
