- A rare high school photograph showing a young Marilyn Monroe
Marilyn Monroe (1926-1962) needs little introduction. An actress, model and entertainer, she is perhaps the most recognisable of all screen icons.
As such, her memorabilia is highly sought after, and continues to be widely collected across the world.
An 8” x 24½” sepia tone junior high school class photograph from 1941 featuring around 800 pupils including Norma Jean Baker who would later become known as Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe.
With some creasing and bumping to the edges, otherwise in very good condition.
“Ralph Waldo Emerson Junior High School, Los Angeles – Class of Summer 1941” is printed across the bottom of the photograph.
The reverse has been signed by a number of Monroe’s classmates (although not Monroe herself).
