At just 26 years old, Otis Redding (1941-1967) tragically died in a plane crash. One month later, his biggest hit, (Sittin' On) The Dock of the Bay, was released and became his only number one single. His short recording period, six years, resulted in some enduring hit songs, including Try a Little Tenderness.
The American soul singer was often referred to as the King of Soul, due to the depth of emotion conveyed in his voice.
This vintage album page is signed by Redding in fin blue ink, Respect to Peter, Otis Redding. The beige page measure 5" x 6½" and is in very good condition, one trivial crease to the top right and marginal dings to left edge.
