An exceptionally fine and fresh mint set with original gum.
The 1d value is very scarce and the 1 shilling tête-bêche pair is a true Queen Victorian rarity in this form and in such exceptional condition. Most other known examples suffer from condition issues.
These “head against foot” stamps are among philately’s most renowned errors, known as tête-bêche.
