A very fine registered cover sent from Cork to Wisconsin, USA. Sent per Cunard steamer "Parthia" bearing a 1d rose-red Plate 170 and a right hand wing margin 6d grey Plate 12 neatly tied by Cork "156" duplexes for JA.14.1874 and just clipped by a red Boston "Paid" transit date stamp for JA.26.1874 with a superb strike of a rare hexagonal "REGISTERED/CORK" datestamp for JA.14.1874.
A very pretty registered transatlantic cover and interesting combination piece of postal history.
