Solomon Islands 1935 Silver Jubilee set of 4 to 1s, perforated 'SPECIMEN' (type D19), SG53s/6s.
Brilliant quality unmounted mint with full original gum, but 11/2d to 6d with some offsetting). 6d with odd shortish perforations, still very fine.
"SPECIMEN" examples were used solely by postal administrations for reference purposes to help spot any attempted forgeries.
