A very fine used example on cover to California with ultramarine (Walter Raleigh's eyes) omitted, tied by a Greenock machine cancel for 'AP.24.1973'.
An exceptionally rare QEII error on cover. Pierron records only three used examples (two from Greenock) this being a new addition to the record.
Accompanied with a 2014 British Philatelic Association (BPA) certificate of authenticity.
No longer priced in Stanley Gibbons catalogue, but was previously listed at a value of £5,000 in their 2015 edition.
