- A highly rare 1964 concert programme for 'Another Beatles Christmas Show'
- Fully signed by all four members of the band
The Beatles are the biggest-selling and most influential band in pop music history.
Their classic albums were integral to the development of 1960s counterculture, and had a lasting effect on everything from fashion and film to the recognition of pop music as an art form.
Fifty years after they split up in 1970, the band's songs continue to inspire millions of fans around the world and every generaton of musicians that has followed them.
A 1964 concert programme for 'Another Beatles Christmas Show' at the Hammersmith Odeon in London.
The series of shows ran from December 24 until January 16, and included support acts such as Freddie and the Dreamers and The Yardbirds.
The cover features illustrations by John Lennon, which originally appeared in the special Christmas edition of his book 'In His Own Write'.
The 20-page programme measures 8.5” by 11” and is in very good condition.
With just light toning and handling wear, and light soiling to the interior (including two ink highlights to the Beatles' name by the original owner).
All four members have signed the front cover in blue ink, along with the dedication “Best wishes from the BEATLES” in George Harrison's hand.
The signatures are crisp, and clearly visible against the white background of the cover.
This concert programme is highly collectible in itself, due to Lennon's artwork.
But this is the first signed example we've ever handled.
An incredible rarity, and perhaps the only piece of John Lennon artwork signed by all four Beatles that we've ever seen.
Provenance: ex Stanley Gibbons.
