- A beautiful autograph book containing more than 170 superb autographs from celebrated actors, musicians and other notables of the 20th century.
The book is a big 8.5 x 6 inches – enabling many of the signers to provide exceptionally large examples of their autographs.
Each autograph is wonderfully crisp in blue ballpoint pen. Many of the signatures are rare.
Actors include Sean Connery, Christopher Reeve, Tony Curtis, Oliver Reed, Tim Curry, Raquel Welch, Edward Woodward, Omar Sharif, Rod Steiger, Howard Keel and Donald Sinden.
Musicians include Glen Campbell, Shirley Bassey, Brenda Lee, Barry Manilow, Lulu, Suzi Quatro, Helen Shapiro, Cilla Black and Freddie and the Dreamers.
Comedians include Ernie Wise, Ronnie Corbett, Tommy Cooper, Larry Grayson, Tracey Ullman, Billy Connolly, Victoria Wood and Julie Walters.
It also features the superb and scarce autograph of celebrated ballerina Margot Fonteyn.
Margaret Thatcher – the first British female prime minister – has also signed attractively.
The book has impeccable authenticity. The autographs were personally collected in 1984 by the chief accountant of London Weekend Television (LWT), John Donovan. The stars all appeared in television programmes broadcast by LWT in 1984.
The total value of the signatures is far more than our asking price of £1,995. As such this offers an excellent investment opportunity.
