Ceylon 1866-68 3d carmine-rose, perforations 14, block of 30 (6x5) being the upper half of a right pane with wing margin at left, SG62.
A fine mint block with original gum. There are some slight faults including horizontal creasing affecting two rows and a few perforation defects (R4/6 with tear) as commonly seen with such a large multiple. Overall, it is a spectacular display piece of these early Victorian stamps from Ceylon with fine and fresh colour.
A rarity in such a large multiple.
A spectacular philatelic display piece, with fine colour.
The Stanley Gibbons catalogue value is £2,700+.
