Extremely fine pair of covers each bearing a single four margin 1d red brown each beautifully cancelled by crisp Dorchester double-arc circular date stamps. The earlier from plate 22 cancelled by the small type circular date stamps (22.5mm) for JY.21.1842 and the later from plate 25 cancelled by the larger circular date stamps (28mm) for OC.17.1842.
A magnificent pair of covers of undoubted exhibition quality.
Accompanied with a 2002 British Philatelic Society Certificate of Authenticity for the plate 22 cover.
