Great Britain 1884 5s rose, blued paper, watermark Anchor, perforations 14, SG176.
A superb mint example with original gum and vibrant colour.
A very difficult to find classic Victorian stamp. The 5 shilling rose is notoriously difficult to find on blued paper. The later issue on white paper is much easier to find and of significantly less value.
Accompanied with a 2017 Brandon Certificate of Authenticity.
Stanley Gibbons catalogue value: £12,500. Previously valued at £18,000 and now presenting as exceptional value at this price based on its rarity and desirability.
