- An attractive Henry Cooper, John Conteh and Joe Bugner signed boxing programme
In 1963, British boxer Sir Henry Cooper (1934-2011) took on Muhammad Ali (1942-2016) in a non-title fight in London. While he lost by technical knockout, with his patented left hook (‘Enry’s Ammer) Cooper became one of only four fighters ever to knock Ali down in the ring.
British boxer John Conteh (born 1951) was WBC light heavyweight champion from 1974-78. Hugely popular with fans, he’s regarded as one of Britain’s finest pugilists.
Joe Bugner (born 1950) was one of the top heavyweights of the 70s, contesting titles against the likes of Henry Cooper, Joe Frazier and Muhammad Ali.
A boxing programme from Conteh's 1974 victory over Jorge Ahumada to win the vacant WBC title. Bugner beat Jose Luis Garcia on the undercard.
Beautifully signed by three greats of British boxing.
Also signed by British heavyweight champion Jack Bodell and an unidentified boxer.
