- · An authentic strand of hair from King Edward VII (1841-1910)
Edward VII’s coronation took place in 1901, following the death of his mother Queen Victoria. He was 59 at the time and his reign was short, ending with his death in 1910. This brief period is known as the Edwardian era.
This was a time when society underwent a dramatic change, with women and workers agitating for greater self-determination. It was also the end of the great European golden age known as the Belle Epoque. The First World War (1914-1918) would drag the continent screaming into the 20th century.
This authentic half inch strand of hair is from the head of King Edward VII (it was likely taken when he was the Prince of Wales). A marvellous curio that fits beautifully into any collection of royal memorabilia.
It comes presented on an 8 x 5.75 inch display card, perfect for framing.
As each display is custom-made to order, the delivery window is approximately 14 days from the date of purchase.
