- An album sleeve signed and inscribed by Marilyn Monroe and Arthur Miller
- Given to Rabbi Bob Goldberg on their wedding day, July 1, 1956
A signed and inscribed album sleeve of Arthur Miller's spoken word record 'Arthur Miller Reading from The Crucible and Death of a Salesman'.
The sleeve measures approximately 12” by 12” and is in fine condition, with clipped top-right and bottom-left corners and slight wear to the edges.
On the reverse of the sleeve, Miller has inscribed to Goldberg: "For Bob Goldberg / With my every thanks for a / beautiful wedding on / July 1, 1956 / Arthur Miller".
Monroe has also signed the album "Marilyn Monroe Miller".
Both signatures and the inscription are written in blue ball point pen.
This album was signed almost immediately after their wedding ceremony on July 1, 1956,and given to the Rabbi that conducted the ceremony.
It's therefore highly likely this was the first autograph Monroe ever signed with her new married name.
The album is presented inside a handsome custom-made display case, with Monroe and Miller's names embossed in gold on the cover.
A unique and truly exceptional piece of Marilyn Monroe memorabilia.
