Otis Redding (1941 - 1967) was an American singer / songwriter, and is regarded as one of the most significant performers in the history of popular music.
Redding rose to fame in the 1960s, and helped bring soul and Rhythm & Blues music to a wider audience across the U.S and Europe.
Redding was tragically killed in a plane crash in December 1967 at the age of just 26.
His classic song "(Sittin' On) The Dock of the Bay" became the first posthumous #1 single on both sides of the Atlantic, and he has since received accolades including the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award and induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
This signed copy of Redding's 1964 debut album 'Pain in My Heart' bears his bold signature on the reverse.
The album sleeve measures approximately 12" by 12".
