St Lucia 1921-30 set of 15 to 5s, overprinted 'SPECIMEN', script watermark, SG91s/105s.
A fine quality King George V mint set with original gum. A few imperfections (1d deep brown shows some toning and gum thin, 1½d has a corner bend and the 2d and 2s6d with disturbed gum). Despite such minor imperfections, overall, it remains a fine mint set with fresh colours.
The 2½d dull blue stamp, interestingly, shows misplaced overprint.
This is a difficult set to assemble as it was distributed in several parts.
These "SPECIMEN" examples were used solely by postal administrations for reference purposes to help spot any attempted forgeries.
