- A potentially unique golf glove, double signed by Tiger Woods and caddy Steve Williams.
- Signed in blue marker by Tiger and red marker by Steve.
- White coloured left-hand Srixon glove.
Woods is notorious for his dislike of signing autographs - making genuine examples such as this extremely scarce.
We know of no other glove signed by both names.
Woods and Williams fell out in 2011. Therefore new items double-signed by the pair are unlikely to emerge.
From 1999 to 2011, Tiger Woods (1975- ) and Steve Williams (1963- ) formed one of golf’s most successful golfer/caddy partnerships. Woods was world number one for much of Williams' tenure which produced 72 wins and 13 Majors in 250 tournaments.
New Zealander Williams was known for his aggressive persona on the course, often defending Woods against over-zealous fans and in one case hurling a photographer’s camera into a pond.
His role as Woods’ ‘enforcer’ also saw him lock horns with Woods’ rival players, most famously Phil Mickelson who he insulted in an interview in 2008.
However, the pair’s relationship soured in 2011 when Williams went to work for Adam Scott whilst Woods was injured. Despite not needing his services, Woods fired his long-standing caddie for the betrayal and the pair fell out in dramatic fashion. It brought an ugly end to their 12-year friendship.
Quite possibly a unique piece of golf memorabilia.
