Some outstanding movie poster rarities will be offered in the March 25th and 26th Heritage auction in Dallas, Texas.
There is a fabulous selection of rare Disney animation posters, including such titles as Mickey Mouse in The Musical Farmer (Columbia, 1932), Donald Duck in The Hockey Champ (RKO, 1939), and Mr. Duck Steps Out (RKO, 1940), and a beautiful full-colour, unique example of a 1932 stock Mickey Mouse three sheet (41" X 81") from United Artists.
Classic Disney memorabilia can be very valuable, as Kerby Confer would attest.
Horror and Science Fiction will be well represented with the only known copy of a three sheet from the Universal horror classic, Dracula's Daughter (1936), as well as a beautiful copy of the title lobby card from Werewolf of London (1935).
Also included are great lobby cards from Dracula (1931), The Wolf Man (1941), and King Kong (1933). In their last sale, which generated $1.48m, Heritage saw classic posters of Werewolf in London and King Kong battle for the top spot.
Science fiction collectors will be gratified to know that a rare six sheet to It Came From Outer Space (1953) will be offered along with a very rare 40" X 60" to The Man from Planet X (1951).

Other classic rarities include a one sheet to Buster Keaton's early comedy short subject, The Haunted House (1920) and wonderful Warner Brother's 1932 release stock poster for the only sound "Fatty" Arbuckle comedy shorts that he made his comeback with after his terrible trials of accused rape and murder. He would die unexpectedly right after completing these shorts.
Also offered is a title lobby card and scene card to baseball's Babe Ruth in The Babe Comes Home (1927) as well as a unique copy of the stock title card to Ruth's short subject baseball films from 1932 called Play Ball with Babe Ruth.
These are just a few of the rarities Heritage will be offering in what is sure to be a spectacular Spring 2011 auction.
