The lot consists of a set of ukiyo-e (or "pictures of the floating world") woodblock prints depicting various landscapes from the provinces of Japan.
Hiroshige was one of the last major artists to work in the style, which was enormously popular in Japan between the 17th and 19th centuries.
In 2002 his record was set at $1m for a copy of 100 Views of Edo.
