A signed photograph of Adolf Hitler sold for £6,000 ($10,000) at Dreweatts and Bloomsbury in London on June 5.
The lot is inscribed to "Herrn Pietro Solari, freundlichst [in friendship] Adolf Hitler, Berlin 11 July 1934".
Solari was an Italian journalist who published an early interview with the dictator and had written a book on the rise of the NSDAP in 1932.

Wieland Wagner, grandson of composer Richard Wagner, took the photograph. The Wagner family held close ties with Hitler, with Wieland and his brother Wolfgang referring to him affectionately as "Uncle Wolf".
