RM Sotheby’s will auction a 1937 Talbot-Lago T150-C SS “Goute d’Eau” coupe in this year’s Villa Erba sale.

The Talbot-Lago T150 features Figoni et Falaschi coachwork 

The car, nicknamed The Teardrop, features extraordinary coachwork from eccentric French maker Figoni et Falaschi.

Despite its elegant design, this model was no dilettante. Its powerful engine ensured it could reach speeds of well over 100mph.

This example has been heavily renovated and is now among the best survivors on the market.

It’s expected to sell for around $3.4m-4.4m on May 27.
