A 1952 Jaguar C-Type XKC 011, raced by Stirling Moss at Le Mans in 1953, will auction next year.
The works car was built for Jaguar's racing team and made its debut at Silverstone in 1953. Later that year it was brought to Le Mans, but ultimately did not make the finish line.

After a storied racing career in Europe, the car returned home to the UK. It has been housed in the collection of a single family since 1963 and is a well-known fixture at UK track meets.
The vehicle will sell at Bonhams on May 13.
James Knight, Bonhams' motoring director, comments: "This very special sports-racing car is not only an ex-Stirling Moss ex-Works team entry, it is also in wonderfully original condition, and is offered direct from the family that has owned it for 52 years.
"Research indicates the car is fully original, remaining un-restored since the day it left the Works team in 1955."
While there is no estimate available for the car at present, another example of the model sold for $13.2m at RM Sotheby's earlier this year - a new world record for the marque at auction.
The present lot could sell for a substantially higher sum as it has a strong connection to Moss, one of the best known racing drivers of all time.
