For lovers of classic cars, Scottsdale, Arizona was the place to be over the last few days.
Some of the US and UK's top auctioneers rolled into town along with rare Ferraris, Mercedes and other classic car marques.
To give you an idea of the sale figures, US auctioneer Barrett-Jackson scored total sales of $5.6m on Sunday January 22 and $90.7m in sales over the whole weekend.
In comparison, Barrett-Jackson netted sales of just over $69m last year - a positive sign that the classic car markets are strong and on the up, regardless of economic turmoil in the mainstream financial markets.

Gooding & Company, RM Auctions and Bonhams were also among the international auctioneers present in Arizona.
Among Scottsdale's many highlights was a classic 1959 Ferrari 250 GT LWB California Spider which brought $3,905,000. You can read our full report on the Ferrari here.
