A selection of 150 pieces from Californian industrialist Lindy Bothwell’s model train collection will cross the block at Bonhams.

The trains will appear in a sale at the Bothwell Ranch in LA on November 11 that also includes some seriously rare pre-WW1 roadsters.
Among the highlights are a Voltamp 2100 standard gauge 4-4-0 steam locomotive, estimated at $7,000-9,000, and a Lionel 381E standard gauge 4-4-4 electric locomotive valued at $6,000-8,000.
Toby Wilson of Bonhams said: "The Bothwell Train Collection was carefully amassed over many years and contains some of the best examples of 20th Century American Toy Train engineering.”
