Newcastle upon Tyne auctioneer Anderson and Garland has sold a major Viz collection for £3,000 ($4,025).
The wildly popular British satirical magazine was founded in the city. It’s been in publication since 1979.
Viz is one of the UK's longest running comic magazines
Auction house spokesperson John Anderson told local paper the Chronicle: “This collector put together the most complete and definitive collection of everything that Viz produced.
“I was blown away by it. He collected everything to do with Viz and must have liked a chuckle.
"I have not seen anything like it and I don’t think anybody will be able to do what he has done.”
The record for a single issue of Viz is £950 ($1,275), set for a rare copy of the first issue in 2016.
