A screen-used cane Charlie Chaplin presented to silent film star Gloria Swanson could make $6,000-12,000 later this month.

The lot is appearing in Alexander Historical Auctions' May 25 sale in Maryland.
Chaplin gave the cane to Swanson on the set of his film City Lights in 1931.
She later gave the lot to talk show host Joe Franklin in the 1970s, who kept it in his famous archive of memorabilia.
Chaplin memorabilia has a large following, with a hat and cane from the Little Tramp selling for $62,500 in a 2012 auction.
