A selection of Marilyn Monroe memorabilia from the collection of her mentor Lee Strasberg is offered in an LA sale.
It will include a wealth of artefacts from across the star's life and career, including letters and drawings alongside handbags and other accessories.
Of particular note is a minaudiere containing eight cigarettes and a used lipstick tube. A Monroe-signed cheque, dated 1960 and made out to Monroe's mother will be another highlight.

"Never before have there been so many important artifacts from the life and career of the much loved global icon Marilyn Monroe as in our Nov 19th and 20th auction."
Lee Strasberg was a method acting coach who trained some of the biggest names in Hollywood.
He soon became a close friend and confidante of Monroe, who came to see him as a father figure.
In her will she left him all of her clothes and personal effects, asking that he "distribute these, in his sole discretion, among my friends, colleagues and those to whom I am devoted."
David Gainsborough Roberts' enormous collection of Monroe memorabilia will also be sold at Julien's on November 19-20.
