The signature cowboy hat worn by Matthew McConaughey for his Oscar-winning performance in Dallas Buyers Club has been consigned to Nate D Sanders.

The film sees McConaughey playing Ron Woodruff, a real-life AIDS patient who struggled to overcome restrictive drug laws in the US to receive treatment. Inscribed with Woodruff's catchphrase, "Just Keep Livin'" and signed by McConaughey, the hat opens for bids at $3,000 and will close on March 27.
Matthew McConaughey has been acting for years, but is currently enjoying the zenith of his career, which has been dubbed "The McConnaissance". His performance in Dallas Buyers Club earned him the Best Actor in a Leading Role award at this year's Academy Awards, while co-star Jared Leto picked up the award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role.
The hat comes with a letter of authenticity from Universal Pictures. A well-publicised, iconic prop from the most acclaimed actor and film of the year, this could prove a great investment in the long term.

The sale features a number of Hollywood hats, with the hat Marlon Brando wore as Vito Corleone in Francis Ford Coppola's The Godfather starting at $10,000. Like McConaughey, the film won Brando the Best Actor award at the Oscars.
Also featuring is the officer's hat worn by Frank Sinatra in 1965's Von Ryan's Express, which holds a $3,000 minimum bid. Sinatra's acting prowess was not quite equal to his singing voice, but he nonetheless won the Best Supporting Actor award for his role in From Here to Eternity (1955).
A singer and actor, Frank Sinatra's other great love lay with golf - Paul Fraser Collectibles has Sinatra's personal golf bag for sale, an official item from the Jackie Gleason Inverrary Classic.
