A group of production cels from the Beatles' 1968 animated film Yellow Submarine will highlight Heritage Auctions' November 20 and 24 Animation Art Signature Auction, which will be held in Beverly Hills.

'A set-up featuring all four Beatles together is rare, add the Yellow SUbmarine to that and you have something special....This is a Holy Grail piece.'

Among the most highly valued lots of the group will be a unique set-up of four original hand-painted cels featuring all four Beatles and the Yellow Submarine, which have been placed over a printed background for presentation purposes.

Heritage Auctions state: "A set-up featuring all four Beatles together is rare, as the Yellow Submarine to that and have you have something special…This is a Holy Grail piece."

Following is a similar 3-cel set-up of all members of the band, with a hand-painted master background of the Pepperland countryside. The bottom of the background is marked "SCP Love 1 - Also Used for Attack."

Also featuring is a cel set up and pan production background of Pepperland in all its glory, including two members of the Pepperland Band led by the cello-playing Lord Mayor.

However, perhaps the most desirable item of the group is an extremely rare hand-painted colour model cel that shows the Beatles in their "everyday" outfits, with colour instructions for the piece written in ink and marker on the acetate. A highlight is the special instructions for Ringo's many rings.

All of the pieces are in fantastic condition, making for superb items for the dedicated Beatles collector.
