An 1858 cover featuring the first stamps ever printed in South Africa is estimated to make $65,819-84,624 at Stephan Welz & Co in Johannesburg today.
The lot consists of two 1d pale brick-red and one 1855 one shilling yellow green stamps.

Savo Tufegdzic, head of the stamp and coins department at the auction house, told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: "Now people collect stamps just like art and gold, it's an investment."
