A bike used by Pippa Middleton in a charity ride across America is up for auction on the British Heart Foundation's (BHF) eBay site with a minimum bid of £2,560 ($4,313).

The sale is due to close on August 13.

Pippa rode the bike 500 miles across the US

The Dassi Aero 6.2 road bike exhibits some minor wear following, but is in otherwise excellent condition.

She commented: "Whether you're inspired to get fit or you're a cycling fanatic wanting to add to your bike collection, take a look at my bike and put in a bid.

"I'm keen to raise as much money as possible to help the BHF fund life-saving heart research."
