An original basketball from the 1936 Olympics, held in Berlin under the Nazis, will be offered at Goldin Auctions in Baltimore on July 12 with an estimate of $50,000.
The ball is being consigned by Jim Stewart of Windsor, Ontario, whose father was a member of the 1936 Windsor Ford V8s - the team that represented Canada in the tournament.

Stewart told the Windsor Star, a local newspaper: "It's like anything else, if you can get a souvenir, you take it".
"He wanted a memento from the game and ended up with the ball at the end of the game."
