As part of its February 6 auction, a Paris auction house will unveil three 2011 magnums of Chateau d'Yquem's little-known cuvee, "Y".
|
Each magnum, of which there were only 200 produced, has a starting bid of $203 - a price which is sure to entice bidders. Also offered are a further nine litres of the dry white wine, which the buyer can then decide if they would like to be housed in six magnums or 12 bottles over an official lunch at the Chateau.
Prestigious reds will also feature prominently in the sale, with Romanee Conti 1964, La Tache 1966 and Chateau Petrus 1986 all making an appearance.
