Zachys Wine Auctions is sending nearly 2,000 lots of the finest collectible wines under the hammer, in New York on April 16-17.
The wines have reportedly been sourced from some of the finest collections here and abroad, from every viticultural region with half-bottles to 12 litres.
Zachys promise an event catered for wine lovers, with a grand lunch to which attendees are invited to bring bottles from their own collections.
After selling for £20,700 in a Domaine de la Romanee Conti (DRC) assortment at Sotheby's, earlier this month (March 17), a La Tache vintage - this time the 2002 - will be among the sale's star lots.
Sold in a 750ml bottle, the La Tache DRC 2002 will auction with an estimate of $3,800-5,500.
