- An original event program signed by Neil Armstrong in Harodsburg, Kentucky in June 1974.
Neil Armstrong (1930 - 2012) was a NASA astronaut, aeronautical engineer and the first human to walk on the moon as part of the Apollo 11 mission in 1969.
A Neil Armstrong signed event program for the 1974 Harrodsburg Bicentennial Celebration.
The two-page program measures 5.5 x 8.5 inches and is in very fine condition.
Signed boldly on the front cover in blue ballpoint by Neil Armstrong and his wife, Jan Armstrong.
The event was held at Old Fort Harrod State Park in Harrodsburg, Kentucky, on June 16, 1974, to commemorate pioneer James Harrod's establishment of the first settlement in Kentucky in 1774.
Armstrong was the main speaker at the event, and signed the program following his address.
The program is accompanied by an original photograph of Armstrong and his wife on stage, signing copies for a crowd of eager autograph hunters.
A very good Armstrong signature, signed just five years after the Apollo 11 moon landing, with superb photographic provenance.
